The RORC Caribbean 600 is a truly international affair, with well over 500 hundred competitors from at least 24 different nations taking part. More than 30 impressive yachts are expected to take part in a high-speed, action-packed yacht race around 11 Caribbean islands. There can be few sporting events that can boast such a worldwide appeal with sailors taking part from all over the world including: Antigua, Australia, Austria, Canada, Cayman Islands, Croatia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Holland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malta, New Zealand, Norway, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, St. Lucia, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey and the United States of America. »

Telefonica bläst zum Angriff!
In contrast to the port tack beat for the first four days of this leg, the last 24 hours have been nothing short of dramatic. This afternoon at 1600 UTC, Team Telefónica with Iker Martínez was screaming through the fleet, sailing up to two knots faster than the rest and picking off places without remorse. Her final victim was Chris Nicholson’s CAMPER with Emirates Team New Zealand who, tonight at 1900, also fell prey to Telefónica who are now back at the top of the leg leaderboard as well as leading the race overall. Die Voléro Damen waren heute Abend in der eigenen Halle nicht so im Strumpf und gewannen in vier komplett unterschiedlichen Sätzen doch noch mit 3:1 (25:18,25:8,23:25, 25:10). Pfeffingen konnte im dritten Satz das Blatt dank einem konsequenten guten Spiel nocheinmal wenden. Dann versiegten allerdings die Kräfte der Baslerinnen und sie brachen im vierten Satz ein. »

James Graig der neue Headcoach der Munich Cowboys
James Craig ist eine der schillernsten Schweizer American Football Figuren der letzten Jahre. Über Winterthur 2007 kam er ins Bündnerland und feierte dort mit den Calanda Broncos viele Meistertitel und internationale Erfolge. James Craig ist dennoch immer einer geblieben, mit dem man Pferde stehlen konnte. Ein Chefcoach dem man auch seine Sorgen erzählen durfte, ein Chefcoach der aber auch forderte. Seine aufgeschlossene Art auf Menschen zuzugehen hat ihn zur einmaligen Persönlichkeit im Schweizer American Football gemacht. James Craig hat nun seine Zelte im Bündnerland abgebrochen und ist ein Cowboy geworden, ein Cowboy in der Grossstadt München. Sein Traum ist Wirklichkeit geworden. Chris Nicholson der Skipper nützte schlitzohrig eine Wolkenlinie, die einen 60-Grad günstigen Wind auf die Segel produzierte. Super Smoothy in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Winning a men's ski contest on the Swatch Freeride World Tour deserves a place on the list of "hardest things to do in sport." Sam Smoothy from New Zealand who has battled through qualifiers and injuries over the last few seasons proved that persistence always pays off and hit the top rung of the podium for the first time. In second place was one of the tour's most consistent performers Reine Barkered from Sweden and in third, tour newcomer Oakley White Allen from the USA who following his second place finish in Revelstoke will go to the top of men's ski rankings. »
